I have been studying ancient music since 1985, both in the musicological field and in the practice of singing and medieval plucked instruments.
I also deal with the practice and research of Arabic and Ottoman music, specializing in the kanun and oud.
I have been performing as a soloist and conductor for years; he has performed concerts all over the world and has participated as a soloist in oratorios and baroque operas.
First Italian professor of medieval music at the Conservatory of Vicenza (I).
I taught medieval sacred chant and ensemble music for voices and ancient instruments in Lucca (I).
I taught courses and workshops in medieval vocal and instrumental interpretation, with a focus on monodic and polyphonic liturgical and paraliturgical chant.

I'm the founder and scientific director of the Laboratory of Medieval Musical Theatre.
I'm the director of the Cantilena Antiqua Ensemble, with which he conducts research, recordings, and concerts featuring medieval repertoire for world premiére.
I have published essays published essays on medieval and Renaissance music, including an essay on medieval liturgical chant in central and southern Italy during the Norman era.
I have collaborated in the creation of soundtracks for theatre and cinema.
I work in the theatre alongside important performers.
